Netanyahu Grants Secure Spot on Likud List to Wounded Reservist
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that he has granted the 11th secure spot on the Likud party's list for the 26th Knesset elections to Eliashiv Madan. Madan, a co-founder of the Avigail settlement in the Mount Hebron region, was severely wounded during the war in Gaza, losing both legs after being injured in Beit Hanoun, north of the Gaza Strip. Four soldiers from his unit were killed in the same incident.
A statement from the Likud party described Madan's rehabilitation as a "symbol of strength, determination, and faith in the power of life."
