IDF and Shin Bet Disrupt Hamas Cell, Seize Rocket and Weapons
Israeli security forces, led by the IDF's Menashe Brigade and guided by the Shin Bet, conducted a counter-terrorism operation in the village of Aqaba on Sunday. During the operation, ten Hamas operatives were apprehended. These individuals were reportedly involved in advancing terror plots targeting Israeli civilians.
A rocket without a launcher was discovered and immediately destroyed by the forces. Additionally, following an interrogation, one of the detainees revealed the location of hidden weaponry. This cache included M16 rifles and a significant quantity of explosives intended for bomb manufacturing, all of which were also destroyed on-site.
The operation aimed to dismantle a Hamas terror infrastructure operating in the area. The joint effort involved the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the counter-terrorism Yamam unit.
