Israeli Counter-Terror Unit Seizes Rocket, Arrests 10 Hamas Operatives in West Bank Village
Elite counter-terrorism officers from Israel's National Counter-Terrorism Unit (YAMAM), operating under intelligence from the Shin Bet security agency and alongside IDF forces from the Menashe Brigade, conducted a large-scale operation in the village of Aqaba in the northern West Bank overnight Sunday. The operation targeted a Hamas terror infrastructure within the village.
During the raid, YAMAM and IDF forces apprehended ten Hamas operatives who were reportedly involved in advancing terror plans and organizing terror activities. A search of one location uncovered a rocket without a launcher.
Following interrogation by IDF forces, one of the arrested operatives revealed the location of a weapons cache. This cache contained an M16 rifle, explosives intended for bomb-making, and other weaponry. Explosives disposal experts from the Border Police's Judea and Samaria division secured and neutralized the rocket, weapons, and explosives found at the scene.
