Israeli Forces Thwart Hamas Terror Cell in West Bank, Seize Weapons

Israeli security forces have successfully dismantled a Hamas terror cell operating in the West Bank (Shomron), apprehending ten armed operatives. The operation, which involved elite units including the Yamam, Duvdevan, and soldiers from the 890th and 50th battalions, resulted in the seizure of significant weaponry. Among the confiscated items were an M16 rifle, materials used for manufacturing explosive devices, and a rocket launcher.

The arrest of the ten operatives uncovered the infrastructure they used to procure and prepare their armaments. The discovery of a rocket launcher is considered unusual for the West Bank region and highlights ongoing efforts by terror organizations to develop rocket-firing capabilities from Judea and Samaria. This incident follows a similar operation in September 2025, where the Shin Bet, IDF, and Yamam exposed a cell near Ramallah involved in rocket production and attempted launches from the village of Ni'ama in the Benjamin region.

This successful counter-terrorism operation is part of a broader effort by Israeli security forces to disrupt Hamas's attempts to establish and solidify terror infrastructures in the West Bank and carry out attacks against Israel.
