Hezbollah Drones Attack IDF Troops; Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon Targets

Hezbollah militants launched two explosive-laden drones toward Israeli forces in southern Lebanon on Saturday night. Israeli soldiers fired at one of the drones and successfully intercepted it. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted retaliatory strikes early Sunday against Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The IDF Arabic spokesperson issued a warning to residents of the village of Arab Salim, stating they were near a Hezbollah facility that the IDF intended to strike and instructing them to immediately evacuate their homes and nearby structures, moving at least 300 meters away.

During the operations, the Israeli Air Force bombed weapons storage facilities and buildings designated for use by Hezbollah operatives in the security zone along the Israeli-Lebanese border. Additionally, the IDF targeted a Hezbollah command post established within a former hospital in southern Lebanon. According to the IDF, Hezbollah operatives had recently been operating from this command post, conducting surveillance and artillery activities.

The IDF stated that precautionary measures were taken prior to the strikes to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
