Hezbollah Launches Explosive Drones at IDF; Israel Strikes Back
Hezbollah launched two explosive drones towards Israeli forces in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning. One drone was intercepted by Israeli soldiers, and no casualties were reported among the Israeli forces. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted retaliatory strikes in southern Lebanon, which it described as a "blatant violation" by Hezbollah.
The IDF stated that its forces will continue to operate in the security zone to neutralize threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers. The military vowed to "act forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces."
This incident follows a similar event on Friday evening when Hezbollah launched a drone towards IDF forces in southern Lebanon. Commando Brigade soldiers intercepted that drone without any injuries. The IDF responded by striking Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including an airstrike on weapons storage facilities intended for planning and directing terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. These strikes were carried out to neutralize an immediate threat.
