Hezbollah Launches Explosive Drones at IDF; Israel Strikes Southern Lebanon

Hezbollah launched two explosive drones toward Israeli forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon on Sunday morning. Israeli soldiers opened fire, successfully intercepting one of the drones. No Israeli soldiers were harmed in the incident. The IDF described the drone launch as a "blatant violation" and announced it had begun retaliating by striking targets in southern Lebanon. The military stated that its forces will continue to operate in the security zone to neutralize any threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers. "The IDF is currently operating and will continue to operate forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces," an IDF spokesperson said.

In anticipation of further strikes, the IDF spokesperson for Arabic media, Lt. Col. Ella Waweya, issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of Lebanon, specifically targeting the village of Arab Salim. The announcement stated that due to the violation of the ceasefire and the launch of the explosive drone, the IDF was compelled to act forcefully against a Hezbollah facility in the village. Residents in and near the marked structure were instructed to evacuate immediately and move at least 300 meters away. The IDF cautioned that remaining in the area posed a risk to their lives, emphasizing that the military did not wish to harm civilians.
