Hezbollah Launches Explosive Drones at IDF in Lebanon; Israel Strikes Back

The Israeli military reported on Sunday that two explosive drones were launched by Hezbollah terrorists toward IDF forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon. One of the drones was successfully intercepted by soldiers, and no Israeli casualties were reported. The IDF spokesperson condemned the act as a blatant violation by Hezbollah.

In response to the drone attack, the IDF conducted retaliatory strikes against terror targets in southern Lebanon. The military stated its forces will continue to operate in the security zone to eliminate threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers, vowing to act forcefully against repeated Hezbollah attempts to harm them.

This incident follows a similar attack last week where Hezbollah launched two explosive drones toward IDF forces near Mount Ali Tahr. One drone was intercepted at that time as well, and the IDF subsequently attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area.

Defense Minister Israel Katz recently declared that the IDF had completed its control over the security zone in southern Lebanon after capturing the strategic Mount Ali Tahr. He emphasized that Israel would not withdraw from the zone until Hezbollah is disarmed throughout Lebanon and threats to residents of the Galilee are removed.
