Hezbollah Drone Attack Prompts Israeli Strikes in Southern Lebanon
Hezbollah launched two explosive drones towards Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon early Sunday morning, according to the IDF. Israeli soldiers fired at one of the drones and successfully intercepted it. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
In response to the drone launches, the IDF stated it was currently striking targets in southern Lebanon. The IDF spokesperson also announced that a structure in the village of Arba'talim, north of Nabatieh, had been targeted following a prior evacuation warning issued by the IDF's Arabic-language spokesperson. Israeli forces are also conducting strikes in the Nabatieh area.
The IDF characterized Hezbollah's actions as a blatant violation. The incident marks a continuation of escalating tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.
