Israel Warns Iran of Strong Retaliation Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that increasing pressure on Tehran could provoke a direct attack against Israel. Speaking at a Ynet conference, Katz emphasized that Israel's political and security leadership is closely monitoring the situation, and the Israeli Air Force is prepared to operate within Iran if its threats are carried out. "If they attack us, we will respond with great force, independent of anyone," Katz declared, noting the Iranian regime's tendency to act around Israeli holidays. Simultaneously, escalating tensions on the northern border present a strategic dilemma for Israel's security establishment. Following the elimination of an explosive drone belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and the activation of interceptors against a false target in northern Israel, a policy set by the minister is being re-evaluated. This policy involves attacking the Dahieh district in Beirut in response to any aircraft incursions.
