Israeli Defense Minister Warns of Iranian Attacks During Jewish Holidays

Defense Minister Israel Katz has warned of increased tensions with Iran, suggesting that mounting pressure on the regime could lead to military confrontation. Speaking at the "Decisive Time: Democracy and Society" conference, Katz outlined the intelligence picture, explaining that economic tightening and rising friction with Tehran might push Iran towards open military conflict with Israel.

Katz highlighted a pattern of Iranian aggression, stating, "They like to attack on Jewish holidays because they are haters of Jews. Pay attention to many things that happened in the past." He noted that the defense establishment is on high alert for potential escalation with the Islamic Republic.

Despite the concerns, Katz reassured that Israel is prepared for all scenarios, "We are prepared in defense and offense in coordination with the United States." He emphasized that Israel will not tolerate any attempt to harm its territory, regardless of the pretext or the arena chosen by the enemy.

"If they attack because of Lebanon, because of Samaria, because of Gaza, because they feel like it, our planes are ready to take off," Katz concluded, underscoring Israel's readiness to respond decisively.
