Israel Warns of Imminent Iranian Attack During Jewish Holidays

Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a warning regarding the possibility of an Iranian attack on Israel, citing increasing economic pressure on Tehran. Katz emphasized that the risk is particularly heightened during Jewish holidays, a period Iran has historically exploited for attacks.

"As their pressure grows and the friction there increases, and the stranglehold on Iran - an immense economic stranglehold - there is a likelihood they will attack," Katz stated. He explained that the severe economic strain could lead Iran to opt for military confrontation as a way to alleviate internal pressure.

Katz elaborated on the timing, noting, "They like to attack on Jewish holidays, yes, what can you do, Jew-haters. Pay attention to many things that happened in the past." He asserted that Israel is prepared for such a scenario, both defensively and offensively, in coordination with the United States.

"We are prepared in defense and offense, in coordination with the United States in this regard," he said. Katz made it clear that Israel will not tolerate an Iranian attack, regardless of the reason. "There are things like an attack on Israel that we will not accept. If they attack because of Lebanon, because of the Samaria, because of Gaza, because they feel like it - our planes are ready to take off."
