Two Weeks of Major Traffic Closures Planned on KKL Bridge in North Tel Aviv

Netivei Ayalon has announced a two-week series of traffic closures on the KKL Bridge in northern Tel Aviv as part of essential safety and rehabilitation work. The closures will begin on Saturday night, August 15, at 23:30 and continue through Friday morning, August 22, at 06:00 for the first phase. The second phase will start immediately after, from Saturday night, August 22, at 23:30 until Friday morning, August 28, at 06:00.

During the first phase, west-to-east lanes on the bridge will be closed, and left turns from Ayalon South exit will be prohibited. In the second phase, the closures will affect the opposite direction. Despite these restrictions, the Ayalon highways themselves will remain open throughout the work. The timing was chosen because late August is typically the quietest period for traffic in the affected areas.

Netivei Ayalon emphasized that the work is coordinated with the Israel Police and supervised by traffic inspectors. Changes to public transportation routes and station locations will also be implemented during this period. Navigation apps like Waze have been updated to reflect the closures. The Ministry of Transport and Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality are jointly promoting these necessary safety upgrades, with efforts underway to complete the work ahead of schedule.
