Suspect Admits to Lawyer Arbel Feldman’s Murder but Refuses to Reveal Gun Location

The investigation into the murder of lawyer Arbel Feldman continues as police have yet to locate the firearm used in the shooting. The suspect, a 23-year-old client from Ramla who confessed to the killing on Tuesday night, refuses to cooperate or disclose where the gun is hidden. His detention was extended by 12 days. After the murder, the suspect voluntarily surrendered at a police station and initially promised to hand over the weapon but has since remained silent, possibly fearing the gun could link him to other crimes.

Police established the suspect’s identity through a recorded conversation with Feldman minutes before the shooting. Feldman’s colleague, attorney David Makonen, who was present at the office during the incident, described the suspect’s calm demeanor and apparent determination to kill Feldman without hesitation. Makonen recalled that the day began normally with casual conversation, but the suspect approached Feldman nonchalantly and then opened fire.

The suspect’s lawyer claims his client is not mentally well and plans to request a psychiatric evaluation to assess his fitness for trial. A hearing to extend the suspect’s detention is scheduled soon at the Magistrate’s Court in Rishon Lezion.
