Lawyer Arbel Feldman Murdered in His Office in Rishon Lezion, Suspect Surrenders

Arbel Feldman, a lawyer, was shot and killed in his office in Rishon Lezion on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. The suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Ramla, turned himself in to the police hours after the shooting, admitting to the murder and agreeing to hand over the firearm used in the crime. Feldman's law partner was the first to arrive at the scene, finding him lying on the floor and immediately calling emergency services. The partner recounted hearing loud noises and seeing the suspect flee the scene, noting that Feldman had a client who had been harassing him but never expected it to end in murder.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court for a detention extension hearing, where his defense attorney, Oren Sasson, plans to request a psychiatric evaluation. Police are also investigating whether the gun used was legally licensed. Notably, Feldman had not previously reported any threats from the suspect or anyone else. The police have requested a 15-day extension of the suspect's detention as the investigation continues.
