Lawyer Arbel Feldman Identified as Victim in Rishon Lezion Murder Case

Arbel Feldman, a lawyer from Rishon Lezion, was confirmed as the victim in a fatal shooting at his office on August 4, 2026. Feldman, who left behind a wife and three children, was shot by a suspect in his 30s from Ramla, who later turned himself in to police. The suspect admitted to the killing during interrogation, stating he came armed and shot Feldman over a financial dispute involving a 15,000 shekel compensation related to a car accident case Feldman handled for him.

The suspect claimed he had been pursuing Feldman for three years to receive the money and decided to confront him directly, shooting him after a brief exchange. He refused to disclose the source of the firearm and reportedly walked from Rishon Lezion to Ashdod after the shooting. Family members of the suspect told reporters that he had mental health issues and had resisted psychiatric treatment, which they believe contributed to the tragedy.

Feldman’s business partner described the victim as a kind and humble man devoted to his family, who was planning a vacation abroad with his wife and children. The partner recounted hearing the shots and immediately calling emergency services upon discovering Feldman wounded. Police intend to request a 15-day extension of the suspect’s detention as investigations continue.
