Suspect in Rishon Lezion Lawyer's Murder Refuses to Hand Over Gun to Police

The suspect in the murder of lawyer Arbel Feldman in Rishon Lezion is refusing to surrender the firearm used in the shooting to the police, according to a report on Wednesday by Kan News. Although the suspect confessed to the killing yesterday and initially told investigators he would hand over the gun, he has since remained silent during questioning and has not cooperated in revealing the weapon's location. Authorities suspect the suspect may be withholding the gun because it was used in other crimes that could implicate him further.

Prior to the murder, Feldman met briefly with the suspect, a 23-year-old client from Ramla. Investigators identified the suspect based on the interaction between them just before the shooting. Feldman's law partner, David Makonen, who was present at the office during the incident and discovered Feldman after he was shot, described the fear and shock in an interview with Kan News. He recounted that the morning began normally, with casual conversation about politics and Feldman mentioning plans to take his family on a trip abroad next week.

Makonen detailed the moments leading up to the shooting, noting that the suspect and Feldman exchanged only a few words without any shouting or unusual behavior before the gunfire erupted. He expressed his belief that the suspect came with a clear mission to kill Feldman and leave immediately.
