IDF Says Dozens of Militants Killed in Deep Lebanon Raid
In recent weeks, forces from the 769th Regional Brigade Combat Team under the 91st Division completed an operation in the Lebanese village of Deir Bineh, about 12 kilometers inside Lebanon and north of the forward defense line.
According to the IDF, the village had served as a major Hezbollah base for advancing and preparing terrorist plots and anti-tank fire against Israel and IDF troops. During the brigade operation, the Air Force struck more than 50 targets, destroyed dozens of terror infrastructure sites, and uncovered significant weapons caches.
The military said that, so far in Operation "Lion's Roar," more than 30 militants have been killed from the air and dozens of terror facilities have been destroyed. The strikes and ground activity were coordinated by the forces operating in the area.
The IDF said the operation exposed weapons and other equipment in Deir Bineh and that the campaign against Hezbollah infrastructure is continuing.
