IDF Says It Carried Out Deep Raid in Northern Lebanon
The IDF said on Friday that in recent weeks troops from Brigade Combat Team 769, under Division 91, completed an operation in the Lebanese village of Dabin, about 12 kilometers inside Lebanon and north of the forward defense line.
According to the military, the village had served as an important Hezbollah infrastructure site used to prepare terror attacks and anti-tank fire against Israel and IDF forces.
The IDF said that during Operation “Roaring Lion,” more than 30 militants have been killed from the air so far and dozens of terror facilities have been destroyed. It added that during the brigade-level operation, the air force struck more than 50 targets, destroyed dozens of additional terror sites, and found significant weapons depots, alongside the aerial killing of militants.
The disclosure came only now, after the operation had been completed over the past few weeks.
