IDF 551st Brigade Says It Killed Seven Hezbollah Operatives in Underground Site in South Lebanon
Troops from Israel’s 551st Brigade said they identified and killed two cells operating from an underground route in southern Lebanon. The brigade is operating under the 91st Division as part of efforts to destroy terrorist infrastructure and eliminate Hezbollah fighters in the area.
According to the army, the units spotted seven Hezbollah operatives over the past week. The underground route had been used to store ammunition, mortars and food supplies for attacks against IDF forces in the sector.
In coordination with the Air Force, artillery and drones, the troops killed all seven operatives. After the strike, they found Kalashnikov rifles and military equipment on the bodies.
The army also said launch positions and additional weapons were destroyed near the underground route.
