IDF Says Seven Hezbollah Fighters Killed in South Lebanon, More Than 70 Targets Hit

The IDF said forces from the 551st Brigade Combat Team, operating under the 91st Division, are working in southern Lebanon to destroy terrorist infrastructure and eliminate Hezbollah operatives. Over the past week, they identified two squads of seven Hezbollah fighters operating from an underground route in the area.

According to the military, the underground passage was used to store ammunition, mortars and food supplies for attacks against IDF forces. With support from the Air Force, artillery and drones, the troops struck and killed the seven identified fighters.

After the strike, soldiers found Kalashnikov rifles and military equipment on the bodies, alongside launch positions and weapons systems that were destroyed near the underground route. In the last 24 hours, more than 70 Hezbollah assets were attacked, including launchers and buildings used to advance terror plots against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.

The IDF added that fighters identified in the area where its forces are operating in southern Lebanon were also killed.
