The Israel Defense Forces said it killed dozens of Hezbollah fighters and struck more than 80 targets in southern Lebanon starting overnight, in response to what it described as ceasefire violations by the Iran-backed group.
The military also said it killed two additional operatives who fled on a motorcycle from the area where rockets had been fired at IDF forces in southern Lebanon. No further details were provided about the timing, location, or the extent of the damage from the strikes.
The statement framed the overnight action as part of Israel’s response to ongoing breaches of the truce by Hezbollah. The IDF did not identify the dead by name and did not say whether any Israeli troops were injured.
