The Israel Defense Forces said it launched a broad wave of strikes in southern Lebanon, hitting more than 80 Hezbollah terror targets, including command centers, launch positions and military infrastructure. The attacks took place in Nabatieh, the Bekaa Valley and additional areas inside and beyond the security zone, and were described as a response to repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah.
During the operation, the Air Force struck two Hezbollah command centers in the Bekaa region while militants were inside. The army said dozens of terror operatives were killed in those strikes.
At the same time, Israeli ground forces continued operating in southern Lebanon, focusing on destroying a strategic underground infrastructure that Hezbollah had built up over years in the Beaufort area.
Overnight, rocket fire was identified toward Israeli forces in the field. In a rapid follow-up, IDF troops spotted two militants fleeing the launch area on a motorcycle and killed them, then destroyed the launcher used in the attack.
