IDF Says It Killed 10 Senior Hezbollah Field Commanders in Recent Operations
The IDF spokesman said on Tuesday that Israeli forces have killed 10 senior Hezbollah field commanders in recent operations. The statement did not give a precise date range, but described the actions as taking place “in the recent period.”
Among those named were Ali Abbas, commander of the Bint Jbeil sector; Kamil Younes, commander of the Tyre sector; Fouad Mousa, commander of the Hujair sector; Hussein Salami, commander of the Jbshit sector; Ali Haich, commander of the al-Khiam sector; and Maslam Harb, commander of the Kana sector.
The IDF also said the commander of the Shakif sector and his replacement were both killed within 12 hours of each other. In addition, three successive commanders of Hezbollah’s Nasr Unit were killed one after another.
No further details were provided about how the strikes were carried out or where the individual operations took place. The military presented the killings as a series of blows to Hezbollah’s field command structure.
