Four-Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Nearly 24 Hours Missing on Ashkelon Beach
After almost 24 hours of intensive searching, a four-year-old boy named Yuval Kogan was found safe and sound near Ashkelon beach on Friday. The child went missing while his family was climbing a sand dune, losing sight of him for several minutes. Yuval's mother described him as mature and intelligent for his age, with high emotional intelligence, suggesting he was unlikely to hide in bushes for long and urging searchers to think beyond the immediate area.
The search operation involved volunteers from ZAKA's missing persons unit, the Israel Police, emergency services, and rescue teams. They utilized all available resources including 4x4 off-road vehicles, advanced drones, specialized technological equipment, and skilled personnel to conduct extensive ground and aerial searches.
Following the successful location of Yuval, ZAKA expressed gratitude to all cooperating forces involved in the search and hoped the child and his family would now find peace and calm.
