Benyahu Malat Killed in Terror Attack Near Gilead Farm in West Bank
Benyahu Malat, 32, a resident of the Gilead Farm settlement and a member of its security team, was fatally shot in a terror attack near the settlement on Friday. Malat was assisting a group of hikers who were attacked in the area when he was shot by terrorists and died at the scene. He is survived by his wife Esther and their two daughters, aged 12 and 13.
Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, eulogized Malat as a devoted family man and a passionate protector of Israel, recalling his bravery during a previous arson attack at Gilead Farm. Dagan emphasized Malat's dedication to safeguarding national lands and his scholarly work on Israeli security.
