Benyahu Malat, Security Team Member at Givat Gilad, Killed in West Bank Attack
It has been officially confirmed that Benyahu Malat, 32, a member of the security team and agriculture manager at Givat Gilad settlement, was killed in a shooting attack in the West Bank. Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, mourned Malat as a true hero who fought to save lives during a fire incident on Sabbath and again during the recent attack. Malat is survived by his wife Esther and their two daughters, aged 12 and 13. The Givat Gilad community expressed deep sorrow in a statement, describing the attackers as despicable terrorists and noting that Malat was killed while rescuing a group of hikers in the area.
