Israeli Winger Anan Khalaily Explores Best Fit After Inter Milan Deal Falls Through

Israeli winger Anan Khalaily, whose anticipated transfer to Inter Milan collapsed due to strict medical tests in Italy, is now reconsidering his next career move. Several clubs have shown interest, and analysts are evaluating where Khalaily could best integrate based on his playing style and the teams' tactical setups.

Ipswich Town emerged as a serious contender, according to Khalaily's father. However, the newly promoted Premier League club employs a four-defender system, unlike the three-center-back formation Khalaily is accustomed to, which may require him to adapt. Ipswich currently has an experienced right-back, Darnell Furlong, but Khalaily could represent an upgrade. On the right wing, Ipswich has several options, making significant playing time uncertain for Khalaily.

Newcastle United is another attractive option. Despite a dip in form last season and the departure of key players like Sandro Tonali, Newcastle offers a major step up. They also use a four-defender line, positioning Khalaily as a potential right-back. With Kieran Trippier's exit and Tino Livramento attracting interest from top clubs, Khalaily could replace Livramento if he leaves or fill alternative defensive roles.

Crystal Palace stands out as a particularly interesting prospect. The London club has risen sharply in recent years, winning the FA Cup and the Europa Conference League, and selling players for large fees. Although the current coach favors a three-center-back system, one of Palace's key players in Khalaily's position is Daniel Muñoz, a Colombian international linked with top clubs including Barcelona and Manchester United. Should Muñoz depart, Khalaily could be an ideal replacement.

Bournemouth, despite not being publicly linked, could also suit Khalaily well. Under new coach Marco Rose, who favors a 3-5-2 formation, Khalaily might find a role similar to what he played at Leipzig. Bournemouth recently sold Alex Jiménez and has some competition in the position, but Khalaily could still fit in effectively.
