Over 100 Israelis Riot in Palestinian Village, Injuring Border Police

More than 100 Israeli rioters disrupted Palestinian life in the village of Jalud on Tuesday night, blocking roads, burning tires, and throwing stones at security forces. The rioters also set fire to Palestinian structures, vehicles, and other property. The violence erupted as a Palestinian family attempted to return to their home in the village, which they had left months earlier following nationalist-motivated crimes against them. The rioters' actions prevented the family from returning to their home.

During the clashes with security forces, three Border Police officers sustained minor injuries. Two of the Israeli rioters were arrested and handed over for investigation. The IDF stated that its forces and Border Police operated in the area to disperse the rioters and protect the village residents.

The IDF further reported that the rioters blocked roads, burned tires, and threw stones at security forces. They also set fire to Palestinian buildings, vehicles, and other property. In addition to the injured officers, a security forces vehicle was damaged. Forces used crowd dispersal methods to break up the gathering and apprehended two suspects.

Forensic investigators will later enter the scene under IDF security to collect evidence and gather testimonies for the ongoing investigation. The IDF spokesperson condemned any harm to security personnel, vandalism, and property damage, stating that such incidents distract from and undermine the security forces' defense and counter-terrorism operations.
