Israeli Forces Clash With Settlers in West Bank Village

Israeli security forces, including the military and Border Police, operated overnight in the Palestinian village of Jalud, near the Samaria Brigade area, to disperse Israeli rioters and protect the village residents. The operation was intended to facilitate the return of a Palestinian family to their home, which they had been forced to abandon following several incidents of nationalist crime against them. However, due to severe violence that erupted, the family's return could not be completed.

Over 100 Israeli rioters were present in the village, blocking roads, setting tires ablaze, and throwing stones at security forces. The rioters also set fire to Palestinian structures, vehicles, and other property within the village. Three Border Police officers sustained minor injuries during the confrontations and attacks on the forces, and a security vehicle was damaged.

Security forces dispersed the gathering using crowd-control measures and arrested two suspects, who were transferred for investigation by the Judea and Samaria District Police. Police and the IDF stated that investigators from the Judea and Samaria District, along with forensic investigators, will later enter the scene, secured by IDF forces, to collect evidence and gather testimonies to complete the investigation.

The security establishment issued a strong condemnation of any harm to security personnel performing their duties, as well as acts of vandalism and property damage. They emphasized that such serious incidents divert attention, undermine stability, and harm the defensive and counter-terrorism operations of security forces in the field.
