IDF Eliminates Two Hamas Operatives in Gaza, Including Unit Commander
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of two Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday. In the central Gaza Strip, near Nusayrat, the IDF targeted Ibrahim Fuzi Ismail Mahsan, identified as a Hamas military wing "Nukhba" unit commander. In a separate strike in Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the IDF eliminated another Hamas operative, Mohammed Kamel Suleiman Mohsen.
According to an IDF spokesperson, both individuals were recently involved in advancing terror plans against Israel and worked to restore the capabilities of the terrorist organization. The Nukhba forces are a special unit within Hamas's military wing, often involved in complex operations.
The strikes come amid ongoing efforts by Israel to dismantle Hamas's military infrastructure and capabilities following the October 7th attacks. The IDF stated that these operations are part of its broader objective to neutralize threats emanating from Gaza.
