Teen Drowns in Ashkelon; Two Others Rescued
A 17-year-old boy who went missing after drowning at a beach in Ashkelon on Friday has been found deceased. Search and rescue teams located the teenager on Saturday morning after an extensive overnight operation.
Three young men entered the water to swim on Friday evening, leading to the tragic incident. Two of the swimmers were rescued and taken to the hospital. A 24-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition, while another 17-year-old was treated for minor injuries.
MDA paramedic Yaron Kapach described the scene, stating that upon arrival, they treated the 24-year-old who was unconscious near the water's edge, providing him with ventilation assistance before transporting him via a mobile intensive care unit. They also evacuated the 17-year-old in light condition. Kapach noted that they were informed of a third missing individual, and MDA teams were prepared to provide medical assistance if needed.
The search for the third missing person continued until his body was discovered Saturday morning. The incident occurred at a beach in Ashkelon.
