Missing Teen Found Dead After Drowning Off Ashkelon Beach
A 17-year-old boy who went missing at Delilah Beach in Ashkelon has been found deceased after drowning. The incident occurred after the teen was reported missing on Saturday, following a day of searches by emergency forces. Paramedics who arrived at the scene discovered the teenager unresponsive on the shoreline, with no pulse or breathing, and were forced to declare him dead.
Earlier on Friday, the same day the teen went missing, emergency services responded to a call about three men drowning near Delilah Beach. Paramedics treated and evacuated a 24-year-old man in serious condition and the 17-year-old boy, who was initially in mild condition. It was then reported that another teenager was missing in the water and had not emerged.
This incident follows two other recent drowning incidents. Three weeks prior, a man in his 30s drowned south of Tel Baruch Beach in Tel Aviv and was evacuated in critical condition after resuscitation efforts. Shortly before that, a 2.5-year-old toddler drowned at HaSela Beach in Bat Yam. She was rescued by lifeguards, treated by paramedics, and evacuated to Wolfson Hospital in moderate condition, eventually recovering consciousness.
