Three Negev Youths Drown Off Ashkelon Coast; Two Rescued, One Missing

Three Arab youths from the Negev region were involved in a drowning incident off the coast of Ashkelon on Friday evening. Two of the young men were rescued, but the third remains missing and search operations are underway.

According to the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service, one of the rescued youths was in serious condition and unconscious, while the other, aged 17, was in mild condition. Both were transported to Barzilai Hospital for treatment.

Volunteers, divers, and rescue teams have commenced searching for the third missing young man in the sea.

An MDA paramedic described the scene upon arrival, stating, "We arrived with an ambulance to a difficult-to-access location where we saw a young man, 24 years old, who had been pulled from the water onto the shore, unconscious. We provided him with initial treatment and then transported him in the intensive care unit along with a boy, 17 years old, in mild condition." The paramedic added, "We were informed that there was a missing person in the water, and ambulance crews were preparing to provide initial treatment as needed."
