Three Men Drown in Separate Incidents Along Israel's Sharon Coast in One Day

On Saturday, three separate drowning incidents occurred along Israel's Sharon coast and Haifa area, leaving three men in critical condition and resulting in one death. The first incident took place at 10:02 near Neve Yam beach in Atlit, where a 64-year-old man was pulled unconscious from the water. Despite resuscitation efforts and transport to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, his death was later confirmed. Emergency medical technicians Helena Makdad and Linoy Azulai reported that the man was found without pulse or breathing upon their arrival.

The Atlit Regional Council noted that the drowning happened in an unregulated part of the beach and warned the public to be cautious, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and handling rip currents to ensure beach safety. The second drowning occurred at 12:32 near Blue Bay beach in Netanya, involving a 71-year-old man who was also found unconscious and evacuated to Laniado Hospital in critical condition.

Less than half an hour later, at 12:55, a 65-year-old man drowned at Keshetot beach in Herzliya. Paramedic Idan Shina described arriving to find the man unconscious without pulse or breathing. Advanced resuscitation was performed before he was rushed to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, still in critical condition. These incidents highlight ongoing dangers at Israeli beaches and the need for vigilance among swimmers and beachgoers.
