Two Rescued After Drowning Off Ashkelon Beach, Search Continues for Third
Police and rescue teams are continuing their search efforts at sea and along the Ashkelon coastline on Tuesday evening following reports of three individuals drowning near Dalila Beach. The emergency services received initial reports around 6:34 PM about three people entering the water.
Rescue teams successfully pulled two young men from the sea and transported them for medical treatment. A 24-year-old was found unconscious and in serious condition, while a 17-year-old was in mild condition. Both were taken to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
An emergency medical responder described finding the 24-year-old near the water's edge, unconscious, and providing him with respiratory assistance before transport by ambulance. The 17-year-old was also transported to the hospital.
Authorities were informed that a third person remained missing in the water. Rescue teams remain on site, prepared to provide assistance. Police have urged the public to adhere to lifeguard instructions and avoid swimming at unpatrolled beaches or in dangerous sea conditions.
