Two Rescued After Drowning Off Ashkelon Beach, Search Continues for Third

Police and rescue teams are continuing their search efforts at sea and along the Ashkelon coastline on Tuesday evening following reports of three individuals drowning near Dalila Beach. The emergency services received initial reports around 6:34 PM about three people who entered the water.

Rescue teams successfully pulled two young men from the sea and transported them for medical treatment. A 24-year-old man was found unconscious and in serious condition, while a 17-year-old was in mild condition. Both were taken to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

Paramedics provided the 24-year-old with life support, including respiratory assistance, before he was transferred by ambulance to the hospital. The 17-year-old was also transported to the hospital. Emergency medical services remain on the scene, prepared to assist if the missing person is found.

Simultaneously, additional police forces and rescue personnel were dispatched to the area. A search operation is underway in the sea and along the coast to locate the third individual, who remains missing. The Israeli Police urged the public to adhere to the instructions of lifeguards and security forces and to avoid swimming at unpatrolled beaches or in dangerous sea conditions.

The search for the third person is ongoing.
