Man Critically Wounded in West Bank Shooting Attack; Terrorist Hunt Underway

A 30-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting attack on Sunday near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region of the West Bank. The victim was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital. The suspected assailant, identified as Qadri Muhammad Hussein Samara, 37, from Biddu, reportedly arrived by car at a spring near Route 465, fired at parked vehicles, and then fled on foot to the nearby Palestinian village of Dir Nizam.

In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a manhunt for the suspect, blocking roads in the area and deploying aerial assets, reserve infantry companies, and special forces from the Duvdevan unit. The forces are working to track the terrorist's escape route and prevent him from reaching Israeli communities or carrying out further attacks during his flight. Palestinian sources reported that the IDF established several roadblocks and imposed a closure on nearby villages as part of the pursuit.

Investigators are currently examining whether the attacker acted alone or as part of a cell, and if accomplices or a getaway vehicle were waiting for him. The incident follows a day of violence in the West Bank, including a stabbing attack near the village of Auja in the Jordan Valley.
