Man Critically Wounded in West Bank Shooting Attack Near Neve Tzuf
A man was critically injured Sunday afternoon in what is suspected to be a shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region of the West Bank. The incident occurred at a spring located near a main road used by both Israeli and Palestinian vehicles. According to initial reports, gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle, striking a group of civilians bathing in the spring. Emergency medical services, including Magen David Adom and military medical teams, responded rapidly and are currently providing intensive life-saving treatment to the victim in an effort to stabilize him for transport to a hospital.
Security forces have launched a large-scale manhunt for the perpetrators, who fled the scene. Reports indicate that immediately after the shooting, forces returned fire towards the suspect vehicle before it could escape, though it remains unclear if the vehicle or its occupants were hit. Security officials possess detailed information about the vehicle used in the attack. Large contingents of the Israel Defense Forces and police have initiated a pursuit, blocking major roads in the Benjamin area and setting up checkpoints around nearby villages to contain the escape route and apprehend the suspects.
