Man Critically Wounded in West Bank Shooting Attack; Gunman Flees
A Jewish man, approximately 30 years old, was critically injured in a shooting attack Sunday morning near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region of the West Bank. The Palestinian gunman fled the scene in a vehicle, and extensive security forces are pursuing him.
Magen David Adom received the report of the shooting at 11:29 AM. Paramedics arriving at the scene found the victim unconscious and began providing initial medical treatment.
Israeli military forces from the Benjamin brigade, along with police from the Judea and Samaria district, launched a pursuit of the attacker, establishing roadblocks and conducting widespread searches in the area. Road 465 was closed in both directions between Bir Zeit and the Abud bypass due to the attack.
Initial reports suggest the gunman exited his vehicle armed and fled on foot. Security forces, including the Duvdevan unit, additional reinforcement companies, and Israeli police, are involved in the manhunt. Drones and Air Force assets have been deployed to aid in the search. Police commanders for the Judea and Samaria district and the Samaria region are en route to the scene.
