Israel Weather Forecast: Heat Expected for Yom Kippur After Rainy Weekend

Following a cool and rainy weekend, Israel will experience a slight rise in temperatures starting Sunday, with conditions expected to be seasonably normal across most regions. However, heavy heat loads are anticipated in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea coast, and the Arava desert. Sunday night will be partly cloudy.

On Monday, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the morning before clearing up. Temperatures will see another slight increase, particularly in mountainous and inland areas. The latter half of the week is forecast to bring a gradual cooling trend.

Looking ahead to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the forecast indicates hot and dry conditions inland. Coastal and Shefela regions can expect temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius (86°F) with 65% humidity and heavy heat loads. Temperatures are expected to decrease slightly after Yom Kippur, becoming comfortable again by the evening of Sukkot.
