Israel Weather Forecast: Heat Persists Through Yom Kippur and Sukkot Holidays

Israel is set for another hot week with temperatures expected to hover around 30 degrees Celsius (86°F) along the coast. Nighttime temperatures will also remain high. Inland areas will be slightly cooler than the previous week but still experience daytime heat. No significant cooling is anticipated for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. Those planning outdoor activities are advised to carry ample water.

Coastal regions, including cities from Nahariya in the north to Ashkelon and Gaza in the south, will see daytime highs of 30°C (86°F) and nighttime lows around 25°C (77°F) throughout the week. In Jerusalem and the Judean Hills, daytime temperatures will be between 28-29°C (82-84°F), with cooler nights at 17-18°C (63-64°F).

Samaria, specifically Ariel, will experience highs of 29-30°C (84-86°F) and nighttime temperatures of 19-20°C (66-68°F). The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) region, including Tiberias, will be hotter with daytime temperatures reaching 34°C (93°F) and nighttime lows of 22-23°C (72-73°F).

The Golan Heights, near Katzrin, will also see daytime highs of 33°C (91°F) and nighttime lows around 20°C (68°F). Northern Galilee, in the Hula Valley near Kiryat Shmona, will have similar daytime temperatures of 33-34°C (91-93°F) and nighttime lows near 20°C (68°F).

In the northern Negev, including Beersheba, daytime temperatures will be 31-32°C (88-90°F), with nighttime temperatures around 21°C (70°F). The southernmost resort city of Eilat and its surrounding area will be the hottest, with daytime highs of 36°C (97°F) and nighttime lows of 26-27°C (79-81°F).
