Teenager Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident Near Religious Event in Hadera
A 17-year-old student, Amichai Attia, from the Heschel Yeshiva in Itamar, was killed after being struck by a vehicle near a Selichot (penitential prayers) event in Hadera. Attia, who was attending the event with his school, was reportedly hit by a driver from the village of Kafr Manda. The driver was allegedly speeding in a parking lot when the incident occurred.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident. The police have launched an intensive investigation into the matter. The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, spoke with the mayor of Hadera, Nir Ben Haim, following the tragedy.
Dagan expressed condolences to the bereaved family, stating, "The people of Israel have lost a dear young man, a young man with his whole life ahead of him." The investigation is ongoing.
