The story · English

A 17-year-old yeshiva student was killed early Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle at the "Ha'Hof Village" shopping complex in Hadera. The incident occurred following a large prayer gathering attended by students from the Olga Yeshiva and the "Hitzim" Yeshiva, to which the victim belonged.

Initial reports indicate a confrontation erupted between individuals at the shopping center after the prayer event concluded. During this altercation, the teenager was run over by a car driven by a resident of Kafr Mandi. The driver sustained minor injuries from gunfire at the scene and was taken for medical treatment.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 1:40 AM. They provided medical care to the victim, who was unconscious with a severe head injury and no pulse or breathing. Advanced resuscitation efforts were performed en route to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, where doctors later pronounced him dead.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Following an assessment at the scene, the investigation was assigned to the Central Unit of the Menashe region. Israeli Police stated that current findings suggest the incident is criminal in nature and not related to terrorism.
