Teenager Injured by Bus at Jerusalem Hitchhiking Stop
A 16-year-old Haredi teenager was moderately injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident at the entrance to Jerusalem, near the Givat Shaul neighborhood. The pedestrian was struck by a bus at a hitchhiking stop.
Emergency medical teams from United Hatzalah responded to the scene, providing initial treatment to the boy. He was then transported by a United Hatzalah ambulance to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for further medical care.
United Hatzalah paramedics Yoni Elzra and Yosef Mutzari stated, "We provided initial medical assistance at the scene to the pedestrian who suffered head and limb injuries as a result of being hit by a bus. He was then evacuated by ambulance to Shaare Zedek Hospital in moderate and stable condition."
