10-Year-Old Seriously Hurt After Being Hit by Bus in Jerusalem
A 10-year-old boy was seriously injured on Tuesday evening after being struck by a bus while riding a bicycle on Sderot Ramot in Jerusalem. MDA’s 101 emergency center in the Jerusalem district received the report at 6:52 p.m.
MDA paramedics and emergency medics provided initial treatment at the scene and evacuated the boy by intensive care ambulance to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He was described as suffering multiple-system trauma.
MDA emergency medic David Suissa said, "We received a report of a child riding a bicycle who was hit by a bus. When we arrived at the scene, we saw the boy lying there conscious and suffering significant multiple-system trauma. We provided him with initial medical treatment at the scene, and while continuing treatment we evacuated him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital, with his condition defined as serious and stable."
