A boy about 10 years old was killed Sunday afternoon in a road accident involving a car and a bus near Shavei Shomron in the West Bank. Magen David Adom crews said they found him without signs of life and pronounced him dead at the scene.

A woman in her 40s, believed to be the driver, was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in moderate condition with injuries to her head and back. Four Palestinian casualties were also evacuated by the Red Crescent.

MDA medics Shnir Hala and Shmuel Agasi said it was a severe collision between a car and a bus. They said the child was unconscious, had no pulse and was not breathing, and was suffering from severe multiple trauma. Additional MDA teams treated and transported the woman from the scene. The four other injured people were taken away by the Red Crescent.

Less than two hours earlier, a 52-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a truck in the northern city of Arraba. MDA said he was taken in critical condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, where doctors pronounced him dead. MDA paramedic Khaled Badarna and medic Rabea Abu al-Khuf said he had severe multiple trauma and was evacuated during resuscitation efforts.

The fatal crashes came after two more people were killed in serious weekend road accidents in Haifa and on Route 6 near Hadera. A motorcyclist in his 50s died while riding near the Baka-Jatt interchange, and earlier a man in his 20s died in Haifa after a crash, while another man about 25 was critically injured and a 16-year-old was lightly hurt.
