10-year-old killed in bus-car crash near Shavei Shomron
A 10-year-old boy was killed on Sunday in a collision between a private car and a bus near Shavei Shomron. Magen David Adom received the emergency call at 4:54 p.m. in the Yarkon region and sent medics and paramedics to the scene.
When they arrived, they found the child unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing, suffering severe multiple-system injuries. After medical checks, responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
MDA crews also treated a woman in her 40s who was hurt moderately, with injuries to her head and back. She was taken to Meir Hospital for further care.
Four additional injured people were evacuated from the site by Red Crescent teams. Senior MDA medic Shnir Hala and MDA medic Shmuel Agassi said it was a serious crash between a car and a bus, and that the child could not be saved.
