10-Year-Old Boy Dies After Electric Scooter Accident in Sharon Region
A 10-year-old boy named Omar Shadi Azam was killed on Friday evening after being hit by an electric scooter in the village of Meiser, located within the Menashe Regional Council area in Israel. Azam, a resident of Tayibe, had come to Meiser to visit family members. The accident was reported to Magen David Adom (MDA) at 18:54. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene to find the boy unconscious and suffering from multiple severe injuries. He was transported to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, where doctors later pronounced him dead.
Tal Pankinsky, an MDA emergency medic, described the chaotic scene, noting that the boy was lying on the road unconscious with serious multi-system trauma. The medical team provided life-saving treatment including bleeding control, sedation, and ventilation before transferring him to the hospital in an intensive care ambulance. Despite these efforts, the boy's condition was critical and he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
