Four-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck by Bus Near Karmi Tzur

A 4-year-old boy was killed on Monday evening after being hit by a bus on Route 3515 near the entrance to the settlement of Karmi Tzur in Gush Etzion. MDA’s 101 emergency hotline received the call at 6:21 p.m., reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by a bus.

Magen David Adom said medics and paramedics arrived at the scene, gave the child first aid and carried out resuscitation efforts, but were forced to pronounce him dead because he had suffered severe multiple trauma. The report did not say how the collision happened or identify the child.

The incident came a week after a 3-year-old girl was killed in a separate crash in Kiryat Ata. That accident took place on Pinsker Street, where a driver was reversing out of a residential building parking area and did not notice the toddler. MDA emergency medic Abraham Feiblzon said crews found the girl unconscious, with no pulse or breathing, and began advanced resuscitation before evacuating her in a MDA intensive care ambulance in critical condition.
